Equipment for the Three Peaks Yacht Race
Several different ranges of equipment are required for each area of the Three Peaks Yacht Race:
- Sailing
- Travel from port to mountains
- Climbing the mountains
Sailing
Assuming anyone taking part would be a seasoned sailor, the first aspect will remain uncommented - so much variation and choice is available depending on how you like to sail that this would not be practical.
Travel from port to mountain
This section also allows for some variation, unless taking part in the organised PowerBar Three Peaks Yacht Race. Should you be, suitable cycling equipment is required as well as suitable nutrition for running a long distance.
Climbing the mountains
Included here is a modified list of equipment that would be required for the National Three Peaks Challenge. The main issue is the differing distance that you will be from your transportation, meaning more food and water need to be carried.
